Perspective Painting Project

Assignment: Make a composition of a stillife of objects from direct observation. Be sure to set up an asymmetrical composition with a variety of shapes, sizes and placements of your objects. Develop a dramatic composition with either bird's eye or ant's eye perspective. First sketch out the composition with charcoal on canvas, and then define each charcoal line with acrylic. Model forms with warm and cool colors. Be sure you are using the full spectrum of colors from dark to light, and that the final surface layer of your painting has interesting and varied texture, using impasto and drybrush as well as other mark making.
